Di-Vinum

The Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini, based in Benevento, announces a new international mission dedicated to promoting its protected denominations and member wineries in the Swiss market, considered by many producers a strategic destination for commercial growth and the international recognition of Sannio wines.

The program includes three professional events exclusively dedicated to industry operators:

24 September – Antica Osteria del Porto, Lugano | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM In collaboration with the Swiss Union of Sommeliers and Enocultori

1 October – Hotel Colorado, Lugano | 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM In collaboration with the Swiss Union of Sommeliers and Enocultori

12 October – Zunfthaus zur Zimmerleuten, Zurich | 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM In collaboration with Vinum magazine

Switzerland has long been a key market for many wineries from the Sannio area, thanks to consumers’ strong interest in high‑quality wines, an advanced dining culture, and a marked sensitivity toward territorial productions. For this reason, the Consorzio—representing 8,000 winegrowers, around 100 bottling companies, and over 800,000 hectoliters of wine produced—has chosen to invest in a structured project aimed at creating new business opportunities for participating wineries and strengthening brand awareness in the Swiss market.

During the events, invited wine professionals will have the opportunity to explore the richness of the Sannio territory, its viticultural biodiversity, and the quality of its productions, with particular focus on the denominations Sannio DOC, Falanghina del Sannio DOC, Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, Benevento IGT, and other identity‑driven expressions of the region.

The project is funded through OCM – Common Market Organisation for Wine, within the promotional activities targeting non‑EU markets, and is part of the Consorzio’s broader strategy to strengthen the international competitiveness of its member wineries.

“Switzerland is a mature, attentive, and receptive market that many producers from the Sannio area consider essential for the growth of their exports. This mission stems from the desire to support wineries in building solid and long‑lasting commercial relationships,” says Carmine Coletta, President of the Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini.

The events on 24 September and 1 October will feature a dynamic tasting masterclass and a masterclass led and presented by Anna Valli, Founder of USSE Sommelier with federal certification, trainer and founder of USSE, and Silvia Rama, Donna del Vino, Treasurer of the Italian Association for the Protection of Ungrafted Vines and wine communicator.

The event on 12 October in Zurich will be presented by Claudia Stern, renowned journalist and leading voice in the Swiss wine world, part of the Vinum editorial team.
